BID APPLICATION – SKYRUNNING CONTINENTAL CHAMPIONSHIPS

2019-21 SKYRUNNING CONTINENTAL CHAMPIONSHIP HOSTING STANDARDS

EVENTS – These competitions may be organised every two years or annually according to the decision of each Continent in accordance with ISF. The event(s) may also be on the Skyrunner® World Series. Date and geographical area must be compatible with other international level skyrunning races (+/- one week).

RACE CATEGORIES – The official event categories are: SKY, VERTICAL and ULTRA.

RACE STANDARDS, RULES – The race must have had at least one previous edition. The standard must be of an international level. ISF rules will prevail in case of dispute.

ENTRIES – Continental Championships are open. Individual medals and titles will be awarded to the champions in each category. Only official nations will be ranked.

OFFICIAL NATIONAL TEAM ENTRIES –  Race entry is guaranteed to all official national teams. Free entry and accommodation are granted to a minimum of two members of each nation in each discipline. Travel contributions for extra-continental competitors (max 10 pax) to be defined.

ISF & MEDIA ACCOMMODATION – Complimentary accommodation and meals for ISF Delegates (two) and ISF media partners (two). Travel contributions to be defined.

TITLE AND LOGOS – Mention must be made of the “Skyrunning Continental Championships” together with the logo in all communication, publications, race material, websites, social media and videos.

SPONSORSHIPS –  ISF sponsors’ area in finish line and podium (flags, banners, arch and booth space in brand village). Details to be defined. Title sponsor and commercial rights are managed by SkyMan SA, Geneva.

RACE WEBSITE, RESULTS & IMAGES – Full race information, course description, programme, prizes and entry forms should be easily accessed on the website and in English. Organisers must provide race results in Xcel format on race day. Organisers must provide professional photos in action and finish line/podium of the event.

ISF AWARDS – RANKING AND MEDALS – Continental ranking is managed by race organiser. Medals are supplied by ISF.

  • At the end of each race, the first three ranked men and women will receive medals;
  • The national teams of each continent with the most points in the SKY, VERTICAL and ULTRA will receive medals;

ANTIDOPING TESTS – Antidoping tests may be carried out in collaboration with the ISF.
